Sr. Employment Counsel
As Sr. Employment Counsel, you will report directly to the General Counsel, and assist primarily with HR and employment-related matters and also other internal legal matters, working directly with DigiCert’s HR Department and other non-legal departments. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.
Primarily focus on employee relations legal matters, including recruiting and hiring documentation, cultural and diversity initiatives, employee terminations, wage matters, benefits, employee training, and contractual matters related to agency events
Handle insurance matters, regulatory and contract compliance, and other vendor agreements
7 – 10 years of experience at a law firm or in-house is required, preferably some of both, including representation of companies with global work forces
Significant experience in employment law
Ability to handle counseling relating to a broad range of international employee relations matters as described above in the description of the position
Experience with insurance, compliance, services contracts, and other general legal matters
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with non-lawyers
Ability to balance numerous tasks and projects at the same time
Exceptional negotiating and drafting skills
A JD and active membership in at least one state bar
Experience at a top international law firm
